So what goes into making the world's finest electromagnets? It starts with our employees, who've made a career of hand-crafting and testing our electromagnets. After an engineer creates a technical drawing to the customer's exact specifications, the magnet is hand-built. The correct magnet wire is selected for each job, wound to certain specifications and set inside a sturdy steel case. The correct epoxy is freshly compounded and poured to seal the magnet, unless a steel plate cover or alternative is called for. AEC technicians then tap holes or otherwise customize the magnet to expert proportions. Electric assembly is next, with each customer's specified power requirements precisely built into each AEC electromagnet. Power cords and supplies, controllers and battery backups are carefully matched to each magnet as called for by the customer. Each magnet is finished with fresh paint, labelled as required and tested on our test bench or a dynamomenter. We carefully pack each magnet to ensure it arrives as fresh, new and ready-to-work as when it left our manufacturing facility.
